15/9: Workshop on Advertising Film Production APCP

Last days to get Early bird tickets

Early bird tickets for the Workshop on Advertising Film Production of the Spanish Association of Advertising Film Producers (APCP), which will take place on the 7th and 8th of November, where the city of Valencia will once again become the largest meeting point for advertising film in Spain, can be purchased until the 15th of September.

The pre-sale of discounted general admission tickets is available through the following link, and the rest of the tickets will be available for purchase at a later date.

Every year, the Advertising Film Production Workshop is the perfect place to meet with industry professionals, share and discuss current challenges and opportunities, as well as explore new trends and technologies that are shaping the future of the industry.

The event is organized by APCP in collaboration with Valencia City Council, Valencia Film Office, Valencia Turisme and Film Valencia, highlighting the commitment of local authorities to the development of the audiovisual sector.

 

15/9: Iberseries Platinum & Industry

Last days for accreditations with regular rate

Professional accreditation at Iberseries & Platinum Industry will allow you to enjoy the exclusive programme of PRO Activities, as well as access to all the event’s events. In addition, this professional accreditation, whether in person or online, will give access to the virtual private space, an area that will allow access to the professional directory of participants to establish contact with accredited participants and arrange meetings on a voluntary basis, as well as to view the main conferences and contents on demand, from 24 hours after the event is held until 25 October.

Iberseries & Platinum Industry is the main meeting point for platforms, television channels, creatives, producers, distributors, buyers, financiers and other agents in the sector, as well as organizations dedicated to tourism, education and new technologies linked to the audiovisual sector. Its aim is to give visibility to feature films and series in Spanish and Portuguese, to promote the connection of business and talent, to encourage international co-production and the commercialisation of content in order to consolidate projects and new financing opportunities.

In just three editions, Iberseries & Platino Industria has managed to bring together numerous professionals and experts in an unprecedented event that combines the experience and long history of leading companies in the film and audiovisual industry that work globally for content in Spanish and Portuguese. In its fourth edition, Iberseries & Platino Industria will offer an extensive programme of activities aimed at professionals, with Conferences and Keynotes, Iberscreenings, MAI (Ibero-American Audiovisual Market) & Networking, Co-Production and Financing Forum, Pitching Platforms and Production Companies, Training Workshops, Film and Education Exhibitions and access to the Virtual Space, a private online area for all accredited participants.

It is organised by EGEDA (Entidad de Gestión de Derechos de los Productores Audiovisuales) and Fundación Secuoya, with the support of FIPCA (Federación Iberoamericana de Productores Cinematográficos y Audiovisuales), Comunidad de Madrid and Ayuntamiento de Madrid.

 

20/9: The Eye of Ibero-America

El Ojo de Iberoamérica is getting ready to celebrate 27 years of Latin American creativity on 13, 14 and 15 November at La Rural in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. A new edition of El Ojo, the most important global event for Latin creativity, where inspiration, motivation and encounter are combined with awards and recognition for the best professionals, companies and ideas in the region, and with a series of conferences and workshops with the participation of leading figures from the communications and entertainment industry at regional and global level. As every year, the festival presented five (5) dates/stages for registration. For each of them, the costs will have additional discounts on the 2024 rates. The earlier the registration is confirmed and finalised, the more benefits and bonuses you will receive. In addition, you will have the possibility to register in BOOK format. 15 to 17/10: Inspirational Awards

The list of confirmed speakers is now available

The Inspirational Awards recognise the most inspirational campaigns, projects and companies in the digital advertising and communication sector. What will be considered as a disruptive and inspiring campaign, those campaigns, projects or commercial brands whose thought, strategy, idea, use of the medium, format, experience or digital purpose, have managed to be a multiplier of value and be a reference for agencies, advertisers and the sector in general. Recently, we announced the participation of our partners in the jury: Iván Franco (Founder and Producer of Zissou) as well as Miguel Escribano (Executive Producer of Harold Entertainment) who will be part of it in the online modality, in the category of Digital Audiovisual Production; now the festival has just announced the professionals who will be part of the event. 6/9: Gerety Awards

The winners of the 2024 edition can now be announced

The Gerety Awards festival is named after Frances Gerety, the copywriter who created the slogan ‘A diamond is forever’ in 1948, and marks the first time a jury has come together to select the best in advertising, from a powerful perspective, setting a relevant benchmark for the market, while redefining the standard that has traditionally defined advertising.

The Gerety Awards 2024 jury chose a total of 7 Grand Prix with impressive campaigns such as Runner 321, We Are Ayenda, The Square Meter, My Japan Railway, The 100th edition and WoMen’s football.

The total number of metals awarded this year by the more than 200 juries from 47 different countries was 7 Grand Prix, 24 Gold, 94 Silver, 71 Bronze, with some 198 pieces remaining on the Shortlist. This year juries were held in 15 different locations around the globe.

The Grand Prix winning campaigns are:

  • Runner 321 for adidas by FCB Canada in Work for Good CUT (Alternative).
  • We Are Ayenda for WhatsApp by CreativeX, Meta US in Entertainment CUT (TV/Cinema)
  • The Square Meter for HORNBACH by HeimatTBWA Germany Berlin in Craft CUT (Production Design)
  • The 100th edition for Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung by Scholz & Friends Berlin recognised with two GPS in Craft CUT (Photography) and Communication CUT (Print)
  • My Japan Railway for JR GROUP of Dentsu Inc. Japan at Craft CUT (Art Direction)
  • WoMen’s football for Orange by Marcel Paris in Communication CUT (Online Video)

The top countries with the most awards are Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and France. The German agency Jung von Matt wins Global Agency of the Year with creative campaigns such as The first trademark that stops trading Nazi merch for Laut gegen Nazis, Merry Easter for Edeka, The Bigger Draw for Hamburg Marketing, Tramway to Love for BVG, Father & Son Film for BMW and Goals everywhere for adidas, among others. Rights against the Right – The first trademark that stops trading Nazi merchandise is also the most awarded campaign, followed by The Square Meter for HORNBACH and A Holiday to Remember for Chevrolet. Other top brand winners include WWF, Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Mcdonald’s, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Wisp x Abortion Freedom Fund.
