A. APCP attends Comunicatalks

Several of the participants in the Comunicatalks Pills: Iván Martínez, Mapi Merchante, Rebeca Benarroch, Leo Farache (AM), Víctor Gutiérrez de Tena, Poncho García-Valenzuela, Carlos Pacheco, Cristina Rey, Vicente Ros, Antonio Arizón Fernando López-Quero, Cristina Viudez, María Pozo, Laura Riestra, Miguel Gutierrez-Cortines, Rocío Bravo and Patricia Castroverde (AM).

The Association of Media Agencies with the Comunicatalks initiative, addresses questions related to advertising communication. This initiative has made a repository of approximately 40 audiovisual pieces available to professionals, students and those interested in advertising.

The Comunicatalks explore topics such as the role of brands in business, hypersegmentation and branded content. The presentations are made by professionals from the sixteen agencies that are part of the association, with the aim of providing knowledge about the communications industry. The Comunicatalks campaign will be launched on January 26 in various media, highlighting the importance of understanding communication for business growth.

It is a contribution to society with the vocation of helping to learn more about communication, a vital tool for companies.

“We want and believe in communication, so we want and believe that it is very good that we talk about it, because it concerns and affects us all,” says Oscar Dorda, president of AM.

B. The second edition of Cinema por Mulleres A Coruña returns

From February 22 to March 9, 2024, the city of A Coruña will once again host the second edition of films directed by women at Cantones Cines (Los Cantones Village Shopping Center). The showcase is going to be composed of 20 feature films, international and national, directed by women and made between 2022 and 2023 and a round table of Galician female directors. In addition, all films will be screened in original version with Spanish subtitles.

Here is the information about the screenings, schedules and prices:

> Two daily screenings February: Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th, Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th.
> Two showings per day in March: Friday 1, Saturday 2, Wednesday 6, Thursday 7, Friday 8, Saturday 9
> Times: 6 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.
> Ticket price: 4,50€. Discount for youth card holders, over 65s, large families and unemployed: €3.

The 20 films that will make up the II edition of Cinema por Mulleres A Coruña come from very different countries: Lithuania, Belgium, France, Morocco, United Kingdom, South Korea, Canada, Greece, Mexico, Germany, Israel, Netherlands, Chile, Sweden and Spain. Half of the screenings will be premieres for the public of A Coruña. Among the feature films, there is, for example, the winner of the Best Film Award 2023 of the VI Festival Cine por Mujeres Madrid: How to have Sex – Molly Manning Walker.

C. BCMA Best Branded Content Awards: last days to enter your case!

We would like to remind you that next February 1st is the deadline for entries to the awards for the best Branded Content of the past year 2023.

The 8 main categories are:

D. Cannes Lions opens registrations!

Cannes Lions is now open for entries until April 11, 2024 for the annual awards presentation. More information about the awards, including entry kits, can be found here.
