“Directing a series is a historic achievement and the director’s path to get here is not an easy one. In this new series category we want to promote young directors taking their first steps”.
This is how the Young Director Awards announced its new category dedicated to this format. With a 50% discount on all entries, the awards hope to support the youngest talent.

- Do you know the jury of the Eficacia Awards?
The Effectiveness Awards, promoted by the Spanish Association of Advertisers, will be held on 26 October. These are “the only awards in Spain that focus on results achieved thanks to the communication action, whether it is notoriety, sales or any other type of profitability that responds to a previously set objective”.
Now, in anticipation of the gala, it has been revealed who will form the jury. Lidia Sanz, Director General of aea, will be the Secretary of the Jury and César Vacchiano, President & CEO of SCOPEN will be the Secretary of the Jury. We remind you that the registration period will be open until 31 May 2023.

- The Sun presents its jury for the Sustainable Development category.
On 8 and 9 June, the advertising sector has a date in Malaga with the El Sol festival. As announced by the organisers, “El Sol is back and this time with a new commitment: sustainability. A new section to reward companies and brands that contribute to improving society and the environment”.
Who will be part of it? Gustavo Lauria (Co-Founder & CCO of We Believers), José Cabanas (CMO – Hijos de Riviera), Manuel Lencero (CEO – Unlimited Spain), Toni Segarra (Creative Director and Founding Partner – Alegre & Roca) and Alberto Fernández (CEO of Normmal and President – IAA LATAM).
They have also announced that the deadline for registration has been extended until 8 May.

- Entries are now open for the London International Awards (LIA).
The LIA Awards have shared that “both the Global Showcase and the China Creativity Showcase are open for the 2023 entry season. LIA Global accepts entries from all over the world in all languages. LIA Chinese Creativity Show is an award held in China and is aimed at Chinese-speaking creators”.
In addition, they have also announced the Holding Company of the Year Award and that “the chairpersons and members of the jury will be announced in the coming weeks”.

- Do you know about the early registration for El Ojo de Iberoamérica?
On 14, 15 and 16 November, El Ojo de Iberoamérica returns. For this new edition, the organisers have already announced the opening of the Early Bird Registration System. Through it, “companies can organise and optimise their budgets and ensure the presence of their most outstanding work and the best professionals at the event that recognises the best Latin American creativity in the world”.
Some key dates: the deadline to confirm Early Bird Registration is 15 May and online registration will open on 12 June.
