The organization has launched an ambitious Strategic Audiovisual Plan with actions on film and audiovisual production.
This initiative seeks to strengthen the local industry, attract major national and international productions, and generate new opportunities for professionals in the sector. The plan is based on several fundamental pillars, including the Ciudad de la Luz studios, which have resumed their activity after years of inactivity, the Valencian Institute of Culture (IVC), and the regional television station À Punt. In addition, the Valencian Community Film Commission has been created, responsible for coordinating the various film offices in the region to facilitate filming and promote the territory as an attractive destination for audiovisual productions.
One of the main axes of the strategy is talent training, for which the Ciudad de la Luz film school has been relaunched in collaboration with the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC). In its first two years, it is expected that around 300 students will specialize in different disciplines of the audiovisual sector, which will contribute to improving the qualification of professionals in the region.
With this plan, the Valencian Community seeks to enhance its competitiveness in the audiovisual field and become a pole of attraction for the industry, taking advantage of its infrastructure, local talent, and diversity of locations for filming.
