The event focuses on financing and investment avenues in the industry and showcases several success stories.

The Madrid Audiovisual Cluster is a strategic platform that brings together key players in the audiovisual industry to promote innovation, competitiveness and position the region as a global benchmark.

Under this premise, the first Madrid Audiovisual Investment Forum was held on 28 January at the Caixabank All In One space in collaboration with Caixabank and CREA SGR. Throughout the morning, round tables and presentations dealt with topics such as public financing models, new investment formulas, the challenges and opportunities of access to long-term bank financing, as well as the keys to private equity in the audiovisual sector, a table in which the APCP was present through the associated production company TwentyFour Seven and its managing partner, Gordon Mackinnon.

At this table, moderated by Andrés Sánchez Pajares, CEO of Filmika Audiovisual, also sat Alejandro Guil de la Vega, investment manager of Three Hills Capital -investors of our associated production company-; and Hernán Pérez, CEO of Workout Group together with Javier de Ros, partner of GOROS Investment.

During the panel, it was clear that TwentyFour Seven and Three Hills were on good terms. Mackinnon said that after a lot of organic growth in 2018, they began to devise an ambitious business plan that required more talent and internationalisation, so they started to look at private equity. For them, the key to this collaboration was to find not only a good professional synergy, but also to find a day-to-day partner; something that Guil de la Vega also shared, who said he had a ‘very good match’.

At mid-morning there was a coffee break in which attendees were able to ask questions, talk and debate on the topics presented, not only with the speakers but also with other entities present there, such as the APCP itself.

From the Association we will continue to collaborate and promote events and projects that encourage the strengthening of the sector and the good harmony between those who make it up.
