Did you know: c de c is looking for someone to paint the history of the Juan Mariano Mancebo 2026 trophy

C de c launches a competition to illustrate the Juan Mariano Mancebo 2026 Award, an award that recognizes new creative generations

The Juan Mariano Mancebo Award—a tribute to the first president of c de c and fervent defender of emerging creativity—will celebrate its ninth edition in 2026. To this end, c de c has launched a very special call: a competition to design the graphics that will adorn its emblematic trophy.

If you were born after January 1, 1996, and are a designer, illustrator, or creative, this is your opportunity to shine. The challenge is to create a visual intervention (vinyl or paint) that captures the essence of the award: young talent, transformative energy, and a passion for telling new ideas.

The trophy, a white 3D printed piece in the shape of opposing “C”s, becomes a blank canvas for young talent to leave its mark. As Álvaro García Ruano did in 2025 with “Empezar a brillar” (Start to Shine), a proposal with UV ink that made the invisible strokes of the creative process visible in the dark.

In addition to recognition, the winner will receive 2 passes for Día C 2026, a year of membership as a young partner, a copy of the c de c Yearbook, an interview disseminated through all their channels, and, of course, their name projected during the award ceremony at the Kursaal.

The brief launches on July 21st, and proposals can be submitted until September 17th. From APCP, we celebrate all initiatives that boost new creative talents in our industry.
