The CFP-E (Commercial Film Producers of Europe), whose aim is to promote the added value that production companies bring to agencies and advertisers, and to safeguard the future of production companies, together with its then President and now Honorary President, François Chilot, inspired and created the Young Directors Awards some 22 years ago.

François Chilot and the CFP-E are credited with making the Young Directors Awards the only non-profit organisation in the world that exclusively supports and promotes international creative talent making their debut in commercial film production, and the only award dedicated exclusively to emerging young filmmakers.

  • AICP is extending the deadline for entries until 4 April.

There is still time to enter the AICP Awards – including the AICP Show, the AICP Post Awards and the AICP Next Awards.

The extended entry deadline is until Monday, April 4th at 11:59pm PDT*.

More information, registration and participation at aicpawards.awardcore.com.

The AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the Commercial, is more than just an awards show judging the best work of the year. It is a true research project with cultural and artistic significance. More than 400 advertising and production professionals judge the Show, which is organised by a panel of curators made up of prominent industry leaders.

The AICP Next Awards recognise outstanding work and the creative forces behind it, but are much more than an awards competition: Next is a platform for thought leadership and analysis. Each year, the Next Awards honour the best work in 11 categories: Branded Content & Entertainment; Creative Data; Digital Experiences; Experiential; Influencer; Innovation; Integrated Campaign; Purpose Driven; Real Time Engagement; Social; and Web Film. The Most Next – Best of Show – award is selected from the category winners. Winners are announced at the debut of the Next Awards during AICP Week. After touring various arts and cultural centres around the country, the Next Award winners become part of the archive of the Film Department of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. All entries for the Next categories must be for a client and may be produced and broadcast worldwide.

The AICP Post Awards honour the best post-production work of the year. Artists are recognised for their contributions in specific disciplines within the general categories of editing, audio mixing, sound design, colour grading, graphic design, visual effects and finishing. The former AICE awards have been redesigned to recognise the most outstanding examples of the various works.  In addition, the “Best of Region” category winners are presented as the best work from companies submitting in each AICP region (East, Midwest, Southeast, Southwest and West).

  • Have you not yet signed up for the Rioja Film Commission’s “Full Team” training day?

FULL TEAM“, is a training action of La Rioja Film Commission, on the 6th, 7th and 8th of May.

Among the objectives of LaRFC is to carry out actions for the development, training and specialisation of companies and professionals related to the audiovisual sector through collaboration with universities and other training centres, not only in activities linked to the industry, but also in auxiliary services for filming, promoting cooperation between them.

In an environment as diverse and constantly evolving as that of audiovisual fiction, currently marked by a profound transformation, especially in terms of consumption and enjoyment by the viewer, it is important to value many of those responsible for the chain that makes it possible and to know the specialisation involved in each position.

In this sense, this training course organised by the Government of La Rioja through the Directorate General of Tourism, to which the film management company La Rioja Film Commission belongs, will focus on the specialisation and importance of each of the professionals involved in a film shoot: from the script, casting, direction of photography, production management, post-production…, as well as all those responsible who participate in the chain that involves the creative process of the project itself, to the final product, passing through processes such as editing.

With this new activity, the regional executive continues to support an innovative axis of the tourism strategy, that of establishing La Rioja as a land of cinema, which allows influential personalities from the audiovisual industry to meet, offer quality training, attract filming and showcase the region’s tourist, cultural and heritage attractions.

You will be able to follow the conference in person or online, get to know the full programme here
