The Chief Creative Officer and Partner of Sra. Rushmore, the creative agency responsible for the visual identity of the APCP Festival, will kick off the event by leading the opening interview with director Rodrigo Cortés.
César García is General Creative Director and founding partner of Sra Rushmore. But, in reality, he is a former ‘quinqui rumbero’ from L’Hospitalet de Llobregat who, in his youth, drew cartoon strips in the newspaper Sport, voice-over comedy programmes, delivered orders in the food markets and, at the same time, graduated in Economics at the University of Barcelona.
César has one foot in Los Gallardos, Almería, by direct family, and another in Málaga, for love. A great defender of the creative profession as a profession, César García displays humanity and irony in his work.
His beginnings in advertising started in 1995 at Tiempo BBDO Barcelona, as an intern in the accounts department for three months. Thanks to his passion for words, combined with the ‘chascarillo’, César wrote humorous stories. One of them reached the creative department and, after three months, César joined the ranks of the agency’s copywriters. After several awards in San Sebastian and Cannes, he arrived at Tiempo BBDO Madrid, where he was creative director until 2001, when he became a partner at the recently created Sra. Rushmore, an agency where he has experienced everything until today: awards, recognition, annoyances, stress, adventures, laughs… Campaigns for ING, Bocatta, Coca-Cola, Vodafone, Iberdrola, El Corte Inglés, Flex and Domino’s are part of his career and recognition in the sector.
She currently sits on the board of c de c, enjoys reading the classics of literature and doesn’t miss out on buying tickets for must-see plays.
