Valencia Hosts the VII Edition of the APCP Awards During the XII Commercial Film Workshop. Discover the Winners!

Ricardo Llavador was in charge of presenting the seventh edition of the awards, which recognize the talent of technicians, advertisers, production companies, and institutions in the advertising sector, with the help of Neiza.

After introducing all the event sponsors and collaborators who made it possible, the presenters, along with the award presenters, revealed the names of the winners.

The Best Director award went to Gabe Ibáñez for his work on ‘Taxi’ and ‘La Planta Dos y Medio’ for Bambina. In the Best Assistant Director category, Jon Espel was the standout, thanks to his impeccable work on productions like ‘El Mundo Que Viene’ from Agosto and ‘ANDALUSIAN CRUSH’ in collaboration with Roma. Meanwhile, Pablo Clemente was recognized as Best Director of Photography for his outstanding work on campaigns like ‘ANDALUSIAN CRUSH’ by Roma and for Smile’s production of ‘Seat SKIP THE COMMON’.

The technical team also shone with Charly Gómez, awarded Best Camera Department Technician, and Valeria Tarsitano, who won Best Production Department Technician. Pedro Sánchez and Juan Antonio Vélez shared the recognition as Best Electrical and Grip Department Technicians, while Curru Garabal was applauded as Best Art Department Technician for productions like ‘Uber Kiss’ for Pueblo Films and ‘Netflix WHAT’S NEXT 2024’ by Roma.

Additionally, Eva Nilsen and Bendita Casting were highlighted by receiving the award for Best Casting Direction, while Alejandro Camacho was recognized as Best Location Department Technician for campaigns like ‘Aena ANDARÉ’ in collaboration with Canadá and ‘Foodora BECAUSE I WANT’ from Landia. David Cruz triumphed in the Best Stylist category, thanks to his work with LEE on their campaign for ‘La Liga’, and Gegé Godoy was awarded Best Makeup Artist and Hairdresser for his work with Lobo Kane on the production of ‘Milka TERNURA CONTRA SOLEDAD’.

Excellence in logistics and production was also recognized, with Cuchara de Palo winning Best Catering and Ray Écija being named Best Runner. César Alcaide was awarded Best SFX Technician, and Nico Sánchez received Best Shooting Board Drawer for his work with production companies like Agosto, Blua, Landia, and Roma, among others.

In the technical and postproduction section, Daniel Espinet stood out as Best Sound Technician for his work on campaigns such as ‘Seat SKIP THE COMMON’ and ‘Pikolin WHAT THE SLEEP’ both for Smile, while the Magda Award for Best Colorist was given to Marc Morató for his outstanding work with Blur and Roma on the productions ‘Estrella Damm VERANO DEL 78’ and ‘Repsol APROVECHA’. Furthermore, La Panadería and Metropolitana were recognized as Best Sound Postproduction and Best Image Postproduction, respectively.

The Best Editor category was led by Miguel Sanz for his work on Harry’s campaigns such as ‘1906 – La Mochila’ and ‘Mapfre – 24/7 Season 2’. On the other hand, Isabel Gálvez took home the award for Best Agency Producer.

Two of the major awards of the event went to FuegoCaminaConmigo, which won Best Agency of the Year, and Cupra, which took the Best Advertiser award.

Finally, the grand award of Best Production of the Year went to Roma – Andalusian Crush, cementing its place as one of the most important productions of the year. The City Council of Madrid won the Best Public Administration award as the organizer of the awards.

These workshops not only celebrated the talent and creativity of the sector but also solidified Valencia as a key location for advertising production.
