APCP Festival: CUPRA and ANDALUCIA or how ROME was not built in single a day

We anticipate what will be one of the case studies in 2+1 format: Cupra and Andalusia or how ROME was not built in a day, and a third ‘barbaric’ project. With the participation of Pablo García Acón and Óscar Romagosa from Rome.

The 2+1 modality consists of the presentation of a case study, where an international project that has served as inspiration and two outstanding projects of their own are presented. In this opportunity, they will tell you about two of the projects that have marked the trajectory of the young ROMA, both for their complexity in production and for their enormous relevance and scope, through their own founding members: Pablo García Acón and Óscar Romagosa. They will also talk about a third relevant, non-Roma project, which for the moment they do not wish to reveal.

Roma was born with strong national pillars but with a decidedly international vocation, and, decidedly to stand out; in less than a year of life, they have had the good fortune to produce campaigns as important as Andalusian Crush (for Ogilvy), which won the Grand National Creativity Award 2024. Although the production company is based in Madrid and Barcelona, it works with directors and productions globally. Its founders have extensive experience: Pablo García Acón, with more than 20 years in the sector, has worked with the best agencies and clients in the country and has had the good fortune to produce more than 400 campaigns, including some as renowned as ‘Hope’ for IRCR (International Committee of the Red Cross) for Sra. Rushmore, ‘Justino’ for LAE (Loterías y Apuestas del Estado) by Leo Burnett, ‘El depósito Lopetegui’ (Banco Gallego) by shackleton, ‘Con mucho acento (Lola Flores)’ by Ogilvy for Cruzcampo or ‘Andalusian Crush’ by Ogilvy for Turismo de Andalucía, among many others. In this sense, Óscar Romagosa has more than 20 years of experience in the cool side of the moving image business. Co-founder and executive producer of Heaven, Inc. in the USA; he was a partner and executive producer of Canada for more than 12 years. To his credit are some of the most memorable pieces in the recent history of Spanish audiovisuals, always with a decidedly international vocation. From Rosalía’s first music videos to JA Bayona’s latest Cupra, Oscar’s love for production is not love: it’s an obsession.
