This regime will be maintained until November 30, 2024. Until this Friday, and except for the Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, for which citizens with Spanish passports do not need a visa for tourist trips in the case of stays not exceeding 90 days in each region, it is necessary to apply for a visa to travel to China.
On the other hand, the entry of foreigners with visas issued before March 28, 2020 will not be affected if the visa is still valid.
Visa at land border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen: If you travel to Hong Kong or Macau from mainland China, to return to mainland China, you must have a two-entry or multiple-entry visa.
No visa is required:
With Spanish passport when in transit to another country for a period not exceeding 144 hours. You are allowed to leave the airport to surrounding areas and provinces (only to: Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei).
For the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, citizens with a Spanish passport do not need a visa for tourist travel for stays not exceeding 90 days in each region, but it is still mandatory to pass immigration control on arrival by plane, ferry/boat, train or on foot.
