The second session of the VIII Edition of the Advertising Film Production and Post-production Activities will focus on one of the great driving forces of the audiovisual industry in Spain: production service.
Under the title “Where Stories Come to Life”, the associated production company Solworks invites us to discover why our country has consolidated itself as one of the great international film sets and how local talent is key to attracting top-tier projects.
Led by its founder and executive producer, Álvaro Iglesias, this session will address the opportunities Spain offers as a shooting destination, the factors that make it a privileged enclave for international productions, and the strategic role of service in connecting creativity, logistics, and technical excellence. This journey will allow for an understanding of how major projects arriving in our territory are articulated and what differential value the local professional network contributes.
With more than 16 years of experience leading Solworks, Álvaro will share his expertise in the creation and consolidation of a production company specialized in advertising service, with offices in Mallorca, Madrid, and Tenerife, and a clear international vocation. The talk will also include the presentation of recent success stories, which illustrate the real impact of Spanish service in global campaigns and productions.
Álvaro Iglesias’ career is marked by a deep connection between cinema, communication, and social commitment. After working at different television channels as an editor and production assistant, he directed four documentaries in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, Bosnia, and Latin America, receiving mentions and awards at various festivals. In parallel, he collaborated with prominent film and documentary festivals such as Play-Doc, Documenta Madrid, and Miradas Doc, developing multiple activities related to audiovisual promotion and dissemination.
In 2010, he began his path as an advertising director, aiming to bring credibility, emotion, and personality to brands through cinematographic language. This same spirit led him to found, along with his partner Enrique Vidal, Solworks Films, with the vocation of offering a close, flexible, and highly professional service to production companies, agencies, and brands worldwide.
“Where Stories Come to Life” will be a key session for understanding how advertising, cinema, and service intertwine to make Spain an international reference, and how the invisible, precise, and passionate work of service production companies makes it possible for great stories to reach the screen.
An essential event next March 11th at the Teatro Echegaray for those who want to know what happens behind the camera when the world decides to shoot in our country.
