The director, who premieres a film at the Festival, will reveal what nobody tells you about shooting a commercial… and a movie, in this first lecture of the 2026 Advertising Film Production and Post-production Activities.
The VIII Edition of the APCP Advertising Film Production and Post-production Activities, to be held next March 11th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Teatro Echegaray, kicks off with a session that perfectly embodies the spirit of this edition: “where advertising and cinema meet.”
Under the title “From 30 Seconds to Two Days,” director Gonzaga Manso will offer an honest, intimate, and revealing look at the differences —and surprising similarities— between directing a commercial and shooting a feature film. A talk made possible thanks to the collaboration with ADDP, which becomes a unique opportunity to discover everything that is not usually told about the creative, technical, and human processes behind both formats.
Born in Madrid in 1988, Gonzaga Manso is the director, screenwriter, and cinematographer of Dos Días (Two Days). He has been directing top-level advertising for more than ten years, in addition to several successful short films. His origins as a photographer give him a special sensibility when telling his stories.
Gonzaga arrives in Málaga after debuting in feature film direction with Dos días, a deeply personal story about the passage of time and memory, inspired by his own family. The film stars Saturnino García, who at 90 years old plays José Antonio, a Madrid doctor who begins to lose his memory, accompanied by the natural performer Jesús Outes ‘Meiriño’. The cast also includes Melania Cruz, Ledicia Sola, Aurora Maestre, Elena Seijo, and Markel Martínez, among others.
The script, written by Gonzaga himself, stems from the need to reflect on the shared experiences with his grandfather, transforming the intimate experience into a universal, tender, and exciting story. Filming took place over six weeks in locations in Galicia and Tenerife, and the film is shot in Galician and Castilian. The project has the executive production of Luis Manso, co-founder of Películas Pendelton, and Paco Ponce de León.
A talk that promises to inspire, move, and open new perspectives on how advertising is, today more than ever, a creative and economic engine of the audiovisual industry.
An essential event for professionals, students, and cinema lovers who want to discover what happens when 30 seconds transform into Two Days… and an entire movie.
