The Madrid City Council, through the General Coordination of the Mayor’s Office, has opened the first application period for subsidies aimed at the promotion and distribution of feature films linked to the city.
These grants aim to boost the visibility of films from Madrid and facilitate their journey through festivals, cinemas, and platforms, thus strengthening the local audiovisual sector.
The call is aimed at individuals, independent production and distribution companies, SMEs, and micro-SMEs, and allows the submission of fiction or documentary projects, both live-action and animation, that are in the promotion and distribution phase and whose commercial premiere has not yet occurred.
This type of support seeks to give a strategic boost to the Madrid audiovisual industry, fostering the creation of content linked to the city and facilitating its reach to a wider audience, both nationally and internationally.
