The Association was present at FITUR with a busy agenda of meetings with institutions, film offices, and key sector agents to open new avenues of collaboration, convey the concerns of its associated production companies, and continue boosting the development and visibility of advertising cinema.
The APCP was present at FITUR on January 21st to hold strategic meetings aimed at strengthening its activity throughout the year, opening new avenues of collaboration, and continuing to position advertising cinema as a key sector within the audiovisual and tourism ecosystem. The presence at the fair also responded to the desire to evaluate the industry’s current moment, convey the concerns and needs of associated production companies, and actively support the development of their projects.
The day began at 10:30 a.m. with a meeting with the National Parks Administration of Argentina, focused on thoroughly understanding the filming possibilities in protected areas for APCP production companies based in the country. This first contact was aimed at facilitating access to unique locations and fostering a framework of collaboration that allows audiovisual activity to be compatible with natural environment conservation.
At 11:00 a.m., a meeting took place with Alicante Film Office to study possible avenues of collaboration. The meeting was particularly fruitful, as the city has shown a clear interest in promoting advertising cinema in its territory. Furthermore, the involvement of the University was highlighted, which attended the latest APCP Conferences held in Valencia and showed great interest in hosting this initiative in Alicante as a tool to boost local emerging talent.
At 12:30 p.m., APCP met with Madrid Film Office to address Madrid’s interest in continuing to be a main destination for advertising cinema shoots and maintaining the close collaboration that both entities have been developing for years. Shortly after, at 1:00 p.m., a quick meeting took place with the Spain Film Commission and its president, Juan Manuel Guimeráns, which allowed for an exchange of views on the state of the sector and common work lines.
The agenda continued at 2:30 p.m. with a meeting with the Ibiza Film Commission, where the mutual interest in resuming joint actions with APCP was put on the table. At 2:45 p.m., the meeting with Illes Balears Film Commission and IB3 was held, in which the notable takeoff of advertising cinema in the territory and the desire to collaborate with the Association to continue boosting the sector were highlighted. Both parties agreed that 2026 will be a key year for developing joint actions of great interest.
Towards 3:30 p.m., a meeting was held with Fundación Visit Valencia and Valencia Film Office, focused on celebrating the excellent results of the APCP Conferences that have been held in the city for several editions. During the meeting, the positive impact of the event on the consolidation of the sector in Valencia, the sustained growth of advertising cinema shoots, and the transformation of the Conferences into an essential meeting point for the industry were underlined. Special emphasis was placed on how beneficial the presence of APCP and its associated production companies has been for the city, highlighting the need to continue supporting the event and its organization.
The day concluded with a meeting with Binter, in order to establish bridges between the Association and the airline, study possible avenues of collaboration, and strengthen advertising cinema in the territories where it operates.
APCP’s participation in FITUR reaffirms its role as a key interlocutor for advertising cinema, strengthening institutional alliances, generating new opportunities for its associates, and actively contributing to the development and visibility of the sector both nationally and internationally.
