The Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) opens calls to promote the participation of Spanish productions in two of the most important film markets in the world: Ventana Sur in Buenos Aires and the Beijing International Film Festival.
The ICAA continues to strengthen the presence of Spanish cinema in the main international scenarios. On this occasion, the institution will manage the participation of national projects in Ventana Sur 2025, the most outstanding audiovisual market in Latin America, which will be held from December 1 to 5 in Buenos Aires. This event, sponsored by Marché du Film, brings together producers, distributors and buyers from all over the world each year, consolidating itself as a strategic platform to connect Spanish talent with the Ibero-American market.
Interested productions may register in three key sections of the market: Animation!, dedicated to animation (deadline until October 30); Fantastic!, focused on fantasy, horror and science fiction cinema; and Ventana Doc, oriented to documentary (both with open registration until November 3).
In parallel, the ICAA will also manage the Spanish presence at the Beijing International Film Festival 2026, whose 16th edition will be held in April next year. The call includes categories such as Tiantan Award Competition Section, the main competition of the festival; Forward Future Competition Section, aimed at new talents; Beijing Film Panorama Section, which hosts international feature films; and the Panorama Short Film Section, open to works between five and 30 minutes.
With these initiatives, the ICAA reinforces its commitment to the internationalization of Spanish cinema, providing new opportunities for creators to show their work in strategic markets and consolidate the global projection of the national audiovisual industry.
