The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) plays a fundamental role in the internationalization of the Spanish audiovisual sector.
Through various initiatives and support programs, this body facilitates the promotion and export of national productions, fostering the presence of Spanish companies in foreign markets and attracting international investment.
ICEX offers a wide range of aid to companies in the audiovisual sector, including subsidies, strategic advice, and support in participating in international fairs and festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival or the European Film Market in Berlin. In addition, through programs such as “ICEX-Invest in Spain”, it facilitates the arrival of foreign productions to Spain, encouraging filming in the country through tax deductions and other incentives.
This body is a key pillar within the strategy of the Spain Audiovisual Hub, an initiative of the Spanish Government aimed at consolidating Spain as a center of reference in audiovisual production and distribution. It seeks to attract more foreign investment and facilitate digitization and innovation in the sector, generating employment and increasing the competitiveness of Spanish companies globally.
Thanks to the work of ICEX and its integration with the Spain Audiovisual Hub, Spain is consolidated as an attractive destination for the audiovisual sector, driving economic growth and the international projection of its talent and creativity.
