10/10: Sustainable Filming Day
A meeting on environmental sustainability within the framework of the Sitges Festival
The Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC), through the Servei de Desenvolupament Empresarial (SDE) and the Catalunya Film Commission (CFC), is organising a workshop on sustainable audiovisual production as part of the Sitges Film Festival – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia. The workshop, which will combine theory and practice, will explain how to design a production that is both sustainable and economically profitable, minimising the negative impact and maximising the positive impact on the planet and society. This workshop is part of Pla_C* Cultura pel Clima, the ICEC’s environmental sustainability plan aimed at companies in the cultural sector, articulated in 3 strategic axes, 16 lines of action and 37 actions. The programme has been conceptualised in collaboration with the Another Way association, a sustainable film festival that also offers a training programme, and with Mrs Greenfilm, specialists in the design of environmental sustainability workshops for the audiovisual sector. Recently, we announced the participation of our partners in the jury: Iván Franco (Founder and Producer of Zissou) as well as Miguel Escribano (Executive Producer of Harold Entertainment) who will be part of it in the online modality, in the category of Digital Audiovisual Production; now the festival has just announced the professionals who will be part of the event.
