Last week at Cannes Lions, Adriana Piquet (Managing Director of the Association of Advertising Film Producers) was interviewed by Jesús Díaz (Managing Director at The Advertising Programme).

During the conversation, Díaz begins by explaining how this advertising framework not only focuses on advertising, but also on giving a voice to the largest film industry headquarters in Europe. In response to this, Piquet specifies that the association has the participation of ICEX and the Spain Audiovisual HUB. He also adds that Spain is becoming the centre of Europe for the audiovisual industry and that within it and the sector, advertising film is very important.

On the Meeting Point, Piquet comments: “We are doing this event not only to attract international filming business to Spain, but also to promote the Spain brand in a market as important as this one”. He adds: “We are confident that the event will go very well and that it was very well received by the industry, not only nationally but also very well received by the whole of Latin America and Europe”.

Aside from the global situation of the industry, at Cannes Lions 2023, many of our production companies received many lions. Diana Milesi (executive producer of the production company Canada), who was awarded in the Entertainment for Music category with 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze for the project “Rosalía Motomami Live Experience on TikTok”, was interviewed about this.

In view of the awards, she added that it was a very positive surprise to receive this gold at Cannes Lions, and mentioned that for projects like this to come out, you need a good technical team and a good director, but also companionship and respect. In addition to this, he highlighted that Rosalía is a star ingredient to carry out projects like this.
