  • El Sol shines in its 37th edition with an increase in registrations.

There must be something about El Sol that has led to an 18% increase in the number of entries from Spain and a 23% increase in entries from LATAM. All countries are increasing their participation and so far, Argentina is the Latin American country with the most entries in El Sol, followed by Peru, USA, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Guatemala, Bolivia, Ecuador and Panama.

The most demanded and fastest growing section is Film, followed by Production. Transformative Creativity, Foreign, Audio and Best International Idea also grew by more than 60% in this 37th edition of the festival. Some sections are still open, such as Sustainable Development and Young Creatives, which means that there is still time for countries to enter more pieces in an edition that continues to go from strength to strength.

“This is a very special edition. We are making the festival shine more than ever, gaining the recognition it deserves, with a new location, Malaga, a new image and a brand new section. Good work is always recognised and being part of such a high percentage of entries makes me see that creativity is at its peak. So yes, there is something about El Sol and there is something about creativity that makes us live and celebrate,” says Miguel Olivares, Director of El Sol. There are just three weeks left to open the 37th edition of El Sol on 8 and 9 June in Malaga. An occasion to celebrate creativity and shine brighter than ever.
