Just like every year, during our Advertising Film Production Conference there will be a round table for a dialogue focused on music. This 10th edition we bring to you ‘Acknowledging the value of a successful phenomenon: recalling the Ruta del Bakalao’’, the 29th of September; the perfect occasion to bring rhythm and production together.
Because we decided to move to the city of arts and science, we wanted to give a space to the most relevant artists of the decade of the 80’s, specifically those involved in the ‘Movida Valenciana’.
A turning point in music, when the nightlife of the younger ones developed and loads of new production and record companies were created.
The artists that will revive this era are Fran Lenaers and Luis Costa who will be interviewed by Coloma Fernández Armer, CEO of OEO.
OEO is a record company for advertising and fiction, experienced in composition and sound post-production. In addition, its team specialises in the management of music rights, providing a music supervising service. For all this and more, we consider Coloma Fernández Armer, the CEO of the company, to be the perfect person to be the interviewer.

During the interview, Fran Lenaers, one of the interviewees, will talk from his perspective as a DJ. He is considered to be one of the key personalities of that time’s music scene, as he was a precursor of the new mixing techniques during a time when the only technique used was the cut. With this, he inspired and marked the next generations.

We will also talk with Luis Costa, who will rigorously tell us about the Valencian scene, a subject he reflects about in his book ¡Bacalao! Historia oral de la música de baile en Valencia 1980-1995 (‘Bacalao! Oral history of dance music in Valencia 1980-1995’). In it, he talks about how the youth experienced this era of nightlife boom and mass parties.

Thanks to them, we will be able to know about their experiences during those years and about the music that people listened to back then. Do not miss the chance to assist!
