This year, we are fortunate to announce Topacio Fresh as the presenter of the 5th edition of the APCP awards.
Somos 5, a production company associated to the APCP (dedicated to TV and digital commercials, documentaries and music videos), has been animated to collaborate to be in our awards section in the 10th Advertising Film Production Conference, a growing event in the industry.
Bendita, in addition, is the full service casting & talent agency that represents actors, stuntmen, commercial and supporting models. In other words, this company is responsible for finding the face you need for your job. And this year, in collaboration with Somos 5, it has helped us to give value and image to the 5th edition of the APCP Awards Ceremony with the participation of Topacio Fresh.
For this reason and many others, we wish that you know her a little better.
Topacio Fresh was born in Rosario, Argentina, and since she was very young she has been self-taught in contemporary art, taking courses and seminars focused mainly on video art, art criticism and performance.
Her relationship with Spain began in 2002, where she was selected to participate in an Argentine-Spanish cultural exchange, which involves the EGO art center and the Universidad Laboral de Gijón. Later she was selected to participate in the international exhibition called “Globos Sonda” at the MUSAC ( Contemporary Museum of Castilla y León) under the direction of Rafael Doctor.
From that moment she starts her collaboration with the Spanish musical group “Fangoria”, first to participate in the video directed by Martín Sastre “La mano en el fuego” and later to be a member of the group formed by Alaska and Nacho Canut.
In 2008, she and her husband, Israel Cotes, started their new project, the opening of a new gallery space in Madrid: La Fresh Gallery, assuming the role of partner and artistic director. She organizes the first exhibitions of young artists, such as Alberto de las Heras or Nacho Torra, and gets already established artists to participate for the first time in the gallery circuit, like Juan Gatti (graphic artist who has worked with Pedro Almodóvar or Alex de la Iglesia) or Fabio McNamara.
Currently, La Fresh Gallery is considered as a neuralgic center for artists, musicians, filmmakers, celebrities and representative characters of the Spanish cultural and entertainment world, turning the already famous inaugurations into a social event.
In terms of audiovisuals, inside our sector, he has also produced some projects; in 2014 he organized together with CANAL+ and MEETINARTS.COM a videocreation contest.
From the association we wanted to present you part of the artist’s life, valuing her work and starting together this new season.
