Last Tuesday we held the second APCP masterclass on FX make-up and we were quite lucky to have David Ambit, as a trainer. He is the Coordinator of Inside FX – Special Effects.
We were able to attend live how he did a prosthetic make-up on a model to transform her into a vampire, while the attendees were very participative, which made it a very dynamic and interesting session.
David told us about his career since he started in the makeup world, his experiences in different shootings. He talked about techniques and materials, and how to deal with this type of makeup with the lighting team. He expressed the importance of teamwork and respect between departments to make the whole project work, he also launched different motivational messages for everyone and especially for future professionals who want to enter this sector.
