The Gerety Awards bring us the latest updates about the awards.

Later, the Co Founder of the Gerety Awards Lucía Ongay made a presentation about the current affairs of the Awards, more specifically about the Spain representatives in the jury of the Gerety Awards, the Awards Ceremony and the most recent winners.

The Festival, with the purpose of boosting the female gaze since 2019, has a competitive jury made up of renowned global female leaders from the industry. Ongay also came with great news: ‘In 2023 we will have a new executive jury’, for which entries will open in January.

Despite being made up of women, the event was not created to judge content related to empowerment campaigns, which is something that she wanted to make clear during the presentation.

Alejandra Chacón, judge of the Gerety Awards, was also present: ‘One may think that this thing about equality does not have a reason to be anymore, but that is not true’, she reclaims the need to keep on working on it, since ‘equality is a resort that takes you back to the beginning if you stop pushing’.

The Awards have an international approach, enriched by women from all over the world.

Elena García, who has also participated in the presentation, talked about the high standards and scrutiny that women face every day. She compared these with those other women in her family had to suffer, reflecting about it and giving a different point of view about the topic.
