The conferences, held in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, will inform professionals in the sector about the funding opportunities offered by the plan.

The Canary Isands Audiovisual Cluster, in collaboration with the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT), is organizing the “SETT: new funds for the audiovisual industry” conferences on June 3rd and 4th in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, respectively. These informative sessions aim to present the financing and co-investment opportunities available for the audiovisual sector within the framework of the Spain Audiovisual Hub plan, which has a total investment of 1,712 million euros. The event will feature the participation of Miguel Ovejero, Deputy Director General of Regulation of Audiovisual Communication Services of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, and María Coronado, Head of Audiovisual of SETT.

During the conferences, the financial instruments provided for in the Spain Audiovisual Hub plan will be detailed, which includes 1,500 million euros to promote the audiovisual industry, including the production of film, series, documentaries, video games, e-sports, OTT platforms, content digitization, and development of technological applications. In addition, 212 million euros will be allocated to cultural initiatives and the promotion of co-official languages, such as music production, podcasts, and digital content. The sessions, which will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 am, will also offer a space for questions, networking, and individual meetings for companies with projects that meet the requirements. This initiative is part of a cycle of sessions organized by the Spanish Network of Audiovisual Clusters (REDCAU) and the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, with the aim of disseminating the financial instruments of SETT throughout the national territory.
