The autonomous community is advancing in its strategy of economic and industrial transformation.
The Government of the Principality of Asturias is working on a strategic project to turn the region into a key node within the Spain Audiovisual Hub. Through this framework, Asturias aspires to deploy infrastructures such as filming studios, a Film School and an advanced post-production center, with the aim of attracting talent, investment and large film productions.
The plan, endowed with an estimated investment of between 15 and 20 million euros, will be financed through European funds, national resources and private collaboration. The project is driven by the Ministries of Science and Culture, and will have the Asturias Paraíso Natural Film Commission as a key piece to coordinate the audiovisual ecosystem of the region. With this commitment, Asturias is positioned to take full advantage of the Hub’s momentum and become a driving force of cinema in the north of the country.
