Mother Nature’s Power is a social short film co-produced by Antistatic together with the Film Akademie de Baden-Württemberg (one of the most internationally recognised film schools) for Extinction Rebellion Global, directed by Nicolas Bori, shot in Iceland and Germany.

“Mother Nature’s Power” is a 3-minute student short film that aims to start conversations about stopping fossil fuels before it is too late.

The film is the result of almost 3 years of hard work with countless challenges and a pandemic in between. However, one thing has remained constant, and that is the determination to share this message of support with the rest of the world.

This project was a truly international collaboration of people working and supporting from afar (especially on the heavy CGI sequences) who donated their time and skills for this cause.

“Besides the support of our school, the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, two companies believed in us and gave us the final push to reach the finish line. A big thank you to Antiestático in Spain and Juice in Poland. Also to Imagine Dragons, 2wei Music and Riot Games for letting us use their amazing music in our film.

Another mention goes to Adam Cropp, a drone videographer from Australia who donated some amazing footage of icebergs for this project.”

In the short film we see a boy frustrated by the empty promises and lack of action to stop climate change. He decides to ask Mother Nature for help. She, being all-powerful, can fight against the main culprits of climate change, the fossil fuel companies.
