La Rioja, a filming community

La Rioja Film Commission invites us to discover its magnificent locations in a scouting at the end of this month.

La Rioja offers countless attractions to become a filming set. It is the smallest region in Spain, but its territory hides landscapes and corners that you would typically find in an entire continent.

It has some of the Mediterranean, a vineyard paradise; a good part of continental climate; some of the alpines, with snowy mountain ranges in winter, and a deep dry land that creates lunar landscapes.

It will show us incredible places where we can film such as the Würth museum; The Caves of the Hundred Pillars that comprise a complex of cavities excavated under the rock and located in the city of Arnedo; the beautiful David Moreno Wineries and the Alberite Church among many other locations.

The guests will also enjoy its gastronomy and its delicious wines in different very special restaurants in the areas they will visit.

But that is not all! The cherry on top of this scouting will be a balloon flight through the town of Haro.

La Rioja Film Commission is a film management company created in 2018 by the Government of La Rioja and managed by La Rioja Tourism. Its main objective is to promote La Rioja as a filming location and to support companies and professionals in the audiovisual industry in the logistics of their productions.

Professionals (photographers, publicists, producers, locators …) who choose La Rioja as a destination for their project, have their free information, advice, resource optimization and permit processing services.

The Rioja Film Commission will serve as a link between the Government of La Rioja, public and private administrations, and the audiovisual industry.
