It is actually true that time flies… THE MALAGA ADVERTISING FILM CONFERENCE IS HERE! And we couldn’t be happier, because we have many reasons to be back in Malaga, to have a programme full of incredible professionals, to have filled the capacity and to have some fantastic sponsors and collaborators.

We would like to take this opportunity before the event to thank our sponsors and collaborators for joining us in this project and supporting advertising cinema. Don’t you know who they are yet? Well, we’d like to introduce them to you:

For the fourth year in a row, Festival de Málaga welcomes advertising films as part of its festival and they are great hosts. Festival de Málaga was born in 1998 and in each of its editions has sought to achieve a series of objectives, among them, to encourage the dissemination and promotion of Spanish cinema, to become a national and international reference in the field of cinematographic events and to contribute to the development of Malaga as an open and cultural city.

Málaga Film Office, together with the festival are great hosts, as every year they accompany us in this event and also as a parallel activity to the conference they show our production companies and professionals different locations in Malaga to be able to shoot in a very interesting scouting around the city.  Malaga Film Office, the municipal filming permit management office in Malaga city, dealt with a total of 630 audiovisual projects in 2021, 48% more than the previous year. Of these 630 projects attended to, 280 were carried out, which represents an increase of 52% compared to 2020, when 184 were carried out. For these figures, Málaga Film Office has carried out 313 procedures in coordination with the different municipal areas. And we are not surprised at all, not only because of how amazing Malaga is, but also because the professionals who work at Malaga Film Office make it a great filming destination.

Aluzine, the sponsor that illuminates us. Always thinking about giving the best service to the most demanding projects, and responding to the huge demand for lighting fixtures in the sector, Aluzine is continually expanding its catalogue, acquiring new equipment so that nothing is missing in your lists. The rental that has the largest number of luminaires, not only the most demanded, such as the Skypanel, the Astera or the Kosmos, but also betting on innovative devices, such as the Vortex 8 of Creamsource, the LED globes of Airstar, the Orbiter of ARRI or the reflection system of The LightBridge.

In addition, during the conference, Roberto Sacristán, general manager of Aluzine and president of ALÍA, took part in the round table “What are the latest developments in technical materials?

Aluzine is in the midst of a green transition and is bringing to the conference the most sustainable lighting system on the market, the Cine Reflect Lighting System by The LightBridge.

The event will be attended by gaffer Jakob Ballinger, co-founder of The LightBridge (along with celebrated cinematographer Christian Berger), who will give a live demonstration of the magic of reflected light.

Berger developed this system to bring the beauty of natural light to the film set, through the use of surfaces that reflect light and define atmospheres. The aim of CRLS is to avoid diminishing light by ‘obstacles’ such as poles or flags and to replace these tools with reflectors that also influence the shape and structure of the light reaching a scene. The reflectors use specially calculated laminations and various coatings.

EPC has more than 30 years of experience as a company at the service of the Spanish film industry. Its aim is to be able to offer its customers the wide range of technological and traditional products and services they need for an excellent final result.

A few days ago we told you about EPC’s commitment to sustainability and the new products in its family of Full Frame lenses

We will know much more about the technical novelties thanks to the intervention of Oscar Pérez, general manager of EPC and partner of ALÍA, in the conference next Wednesday 23rd March in the Albeniz cinema.

Travel producers Bestours have been accompanying us for a long time and once again they join our events as sponsors.

They are part of the Bestour group. Since its creation in 1987, they have always had production clients, but it was in 2012 when they specialised and created the Travel Producers brand.

They have the philosophy of a production company combined with the knowledge and tools provided by belonging to the world of travel, which have made them a benchmark in the sector.

They are with us from the beginning, budgeting, choosing, locating the best accommodation and looking for combinations to reach the destination. They are there when plans change, offering alternatives and solutions.

They are a team divided into specialised areas: national advertising films, services, series and films and an administrative department that knows the sector.

And very importantly, they know how to convey the needs of a production to suppliers and negotiate the best conditions.

School Training joins one more year to the conference as collaborators. Audiovisual, sound and music production school. We offer Masters and courses in different disciplines, both artistic and technical, filmmaking, film editing, sound, photography, DJ…
