- LatinSpots magazine will launch its #185 edition in May, focused on the creative and audiovisual industry of Mexico and Spain, two economies highlighted for their talent and dynamism. - The Gerety Awards have announced a special jury for the Humor category in collaboration with Funny Women, a non-profit organization that promotes the female voice through comedy. The deadline to register pieces is Friday, May 9th, and the votes of this special jury will be added to the global executive jury, whose finalists will be announced in early June. The Humor category celebrates excellence in advertising that manages to make people laugh, highlighting its importance as a refined art. - Free courses are open in Valencia for The Craft of DIT and Introduction to Cinematographic Sound from ESCAC – Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya with the collaboration of PAV – Productors Audiovisuals Valencians in Valencia. They are 100% subsidized and will begin on May 12th until the 27th of the same month. They are part of the OFF ESCAC program and places are limited.
- The ADC 104th Annual Awards have revealed their list of finalists, after receiving thousands of submissions from agencies and creatives around the world. Klick Health Toronto leads with 39 nominations thanks to their project “47” for Café Joyeux, followed by FCB New York with 36 for “Lap of Legends” for Michelob ULTRA, while Serviceplan Munich ranks third with 29. This year, 40 countries made it onto the list, highlighting the United States, Canada, Germany, China, and the United Kingdom, and also celebrating unique participants from countries like Croatia, India, and Portugal. All finalists will compete for awards, from merit to the coveted Black Cube, which will be presented at a grand ceremony on May 14th at Gotham Hall, New York, as part of Creative Week 2025.
