  • The APA Show will become “the biggest show on earth” in September

Bringing back the circus aesthetic, the 2022 APA Show promises to put on “the greatest show on earth” at its next edition, which will take place on 16 September at London’s historic Guildhall.

With the idea of moving away from the formality that characterizes other events, they promise to transform it into a party with no dress code or dinner. So what will the programme be? It will start with a screening of The APA Collection, which will be followed by a cocktail reception to meet and network in a different way.

They promise a totally immersive experience, where attendees will walk among the acrobats as they stroll through the crypts of the building and be amazed by circus-inspired acts.

They have also announced a list of all their judges from various areas of production and have put tickets on sale to attend – the show will be starting soon!

  • Sitges Film Land focuses on the future of localisation

The Sitges Film Festival is committed to giving a space to new technologies and specifically to Volume LED, in an event that will take place on December 1st and 2nd in the city that gives its name to the festival.

It will bring together experts from Film Offices and Film Commissions from all over the world specialising in film localisation, as well as researchers in the field of film tourism.

As the festival calls it, this is a revolution that can be likened to the one brought about by the advent of computer-generated special effects. With their project “New Visions on production and location” they want to establish a debate on the changes that are taking place, specifically on the choice of locations.

In addition to this, the programme will include talks and case studies, organised by the CETT-UB, which will analyse the situation of film tourism. In addition, the best campaigns/videos will be highlighted, as well as the professionals who carry them out, recognising their work, especially those dedicated to location scouting.

  • The WHEXT 22 AWARDS now have a date!

The WHEXT AWARDS have for years been pioneers in the field of advertising and in particular in analysing what the future of the industry will look like. This 2022 they will continue to do so with a new edition, completely in person, on 2 December.

Promoting innovation through education, they are committed to continuing to train the professionals who make up the industry with their awards: one of their strong points being the conferences, meetings and round tables that they organise and which are key to their development.

In 2021 they held 11 different talks, with 34 speakers (6 of whom were international) and a total of 8 hours of recorded content. This resulted in a highly followed festival through the networks, in which they reached 1,022 live broadcasts via YouTube and reached approximately 5.7 thousand users through streaming.

In addition, as they did last year, they will continue to maintain their 14 award categories: directing, animation directing, executive production, music and sound production, assistant directing, cinematography, art direction, cast production, costume production, editing, finishing, production management, development and contribution to the industry.
